Job Title: BigID Engineer - Remote Opportunity

In this role, you will work with the Data Disclosure team to implement BigID across American Airlines and manage the BigID platform. Collaborating with data analysts and enterprise platform teams, you will classify and evaluate data sources, ensuring seamless integration with our Data Protection and Management teams.
As a BigID Engineer, you will be responsible for creating documentation, designing infrastructure, and translating business needs into technical requirements. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget. Your expertise in BigID, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle database, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Docker containers will be essential in driving success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Create documentation for requirements, design drawings, and operational installation (runbooks) to deliver infrastructure services for projects
Maintain responsibility for the daily operations of the BigID platform and remote scanners
Translate business needs into technical requirements
Collaborate with data analysts to capture requirements for enterprise projects and identify the project infrastructure services required
Research new modules in BigID and develop potential use cases
Document infrastructure conditions in collaboration with other infrastructure and application teams to ensure the system is secure, highly available, and scalable
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
Minimum 3 years of experience as a systems or infrastructure engineer
Essential knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle database, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB administration skills
3 years of experience with the BigID platform
Hands-on experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes services
Strong working experience with various Azure technologies
Hands-on experience with DevOps automation
