Job Title: Academic Support Specialist - Trojan Tutor
Join Our Team of Innovative Educators! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Support Specialist to work as a Trojan Tutor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. As a key member of our Trojan Tutoring team, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students, helping them to achieve academic success and reach their full potential.

As a Trojan Tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds, providing guidance and support in a variety of subjects, including General Education/Core Curriculum courses.
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver individualized tutorial sessions to support student learning and academic success
Facilitate student insight into underlying thought processes, promoting independent learning and confidence
Develop and implement effective learning and study strategies, including note-taking, time management, and test-taking skills
Collaborate with students to identify areas of need and develop personalized plans to address these needs
Provide constructive feedback and support to students, helping them to achieve their academic goals
Requirements:
Currently enrolled as a student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock
Received an "A" or "B" in one of the specified courses (e.g. Introduction to Visual Arts, World Literature, Psychology, etc.)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with limited supervision and adapt to changing situations
Strong knowledge of course materials and ability to demonstrate academic best practices
