Java Software Engineer

Remote Full-time
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to be part of a remote team that builds high-availability solutions for dental offices and enterprises, focusing on insurance eligibility in the revenue cycle management space. We are looking for individuals who are problem-solvers, not ticket takers. We operate on trust and focus on making a real impact for our customers. Our teams work in 6-week cycles, solving real problems while balancing technical debt, bugs, innovation, and team growth. We value simplicity and delivering small, meaningful changes that provide business value, then testing and iterating based on user feedback.

Working hours: 8am-3pm MT/ (9am - 4 pm CST)

What You Will Do
Design, develop, and enhance backend features while resolving defects and improving system reliability

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets quality and performance standards

Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams

Contribute thoughtful feedback through code reviews and technical discussions

Troubleshoot and solve moderately complex technical challenges with curiosity and a growth mindset

Partner with DevOps to support CI/CD pipelines and reliable software delivery

Apply SOLID principles, testing practices, and modern engineering standards to build scalable services

Technologies We Use
Languages & Frameworks: Java, Spring Boot

Databases: PostgreSQL

DevOps & Tools: GitLab, Jira

Messaging & Cloud: Kafka, AWS

Architecture: Microservices and REST API development

What You Will Have
4–8 years of professional experience building backend software, primarily in Java

Experience working effectively in an Agile environment within a remote or hybrid team

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and service-to-service integration

Ability to deliver features end-to-end with guidance and collaboration

Demonstrated ability to learn, adapt, and improve through feedback

Clear and respectful communication with engineers, product managers, and other partners

A proactive and accountable mindset with empathy and resilience
