Java Developer - Part-Time
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Part-Time Java Developer with a minimum of five (5) years of experience to support ongoing project needs. This role requires a strong technical foundation in enterprise and legacy Java technologies, along with flexibility to contribute across multiple workstreams as project demands evolve. Responsibilities: Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based enterprise applications Utilize Apache Struts framework and EclipseLink (JPA) for application development Support and maintain applications deployed on Oracle WebLogic Server Perform and remediate Fortify static code scans , ensuring adherence to security standards Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development and production environments Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and project teams to deliver effective solutions Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to a variety of project-related tasks as needed Assist with documentation, testing, and deployment activities Support tasks outside of core development responsibilities to ensure overall project success Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information science, or software engineering Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience Strong proficiency in Java (J2EE/Java EE) Hands-on experience with Apache Struts , EclipseLink (JPA), Oracle WebLogic Server , Fortify (static code analysis and remediation) Experience working within enterprise or legacy system environments Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity Must be a U.S. citizen and undergo a background check for Public Trust Strong verbal and written communication skills Pay Transparency Statement: AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $94,400.00/Yr. - USD $157,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
