We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this remote role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance enterprise applications that power our core business operations. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ā¢ Design, develop, and deploy robust Java-based applications using industry best practices
ā¢ Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
ā¢ Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards and design patterns
ā¢ Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
ā¢ Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues
ā¢ Optimize application performance and ensure scalability
ā¢ Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
ā¢ Create and maintain technical documentation
ā¢ Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
ā¢ 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java
ā¢ Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
Technical Skills
ā¢ Core Java: Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17 features including streams, lambdas, and multi-threading
ā¢ Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA
ā¢ RESTful APIs: Design and development of microservices and REST APIs
ā¢ Databases: Experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases
ā¢ Build Tools: Maven or Gradle
ā¢ Version Control: Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket)
ā¢ Testing: JUnit, Mockito, integration testing
ā¢ CI/CD: Familiarity with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
ā¢ Cloud: Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred
