Japanese Language Consultant – Remote Contract
About the Role
NeonLabs is seeking a Japanese Language Consultant to support a project focused on improving how technology interprets and generates Japanese-language visual content.
You’ll evaluate and refine model outputs—images and videos created from Japanese prompts—to ensure they’re accurate, natural, and culturally aligned.
This is an AI technology testing and development opportunity, ideal for language professionals curious about multimodal tools and how intelligent systems process linguistic and cultural information.
Responsibilities
• Review and assess generated images and videos for fluency, accuracy, and cultural context
• Provide detailed feedback to enhance linguistic and visual quality
• Identify and correct translation issues or cultural inconsistencies
• Test and document prompt performance using multimodal AI tools
• Collaborate asynchronously with research and engineering teams
Requirements
• Full professional fluency in Japanese and English
• Strong understanding of Japanese culture, idioms, and regional nuances
• Familiarity with Japanese media, literature, or digital content
• Excellent written communication and attention to linguistic detail
• Interest in language technology or generative systems
Preferred:
• Prior experience in content review, translation QA, or linguistic evaluation
• Experience with AI-assisted creative tools (Gemini, Claude, etc.)
Compensation & Terms
• Rate: $32–$37 per hour (USD)
• Type: Independent Contractor
• Payments: Weekly via Stripe Connect
• Duration: 5 weeks (potential for extension)
• Start Date: Immediate
