IT / Systems Administrator (Remote) - Contract to Hire

Remote Full-time
Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT / Systems Administrator to join us in a part-time, contract capacity. You will be responsible for setting up, securing, and maintaining the digital environment that empowers our distributed team. Your work will ensure that our staff has secure, reliable access to their tools, allowing them to focus on serving our clients without technical friction.

Responsibilities

User & Access Management: Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and groups across our core stack (Google Workspace/Microsoft 365, Slack, CRM, project management tools).

Device Management: Maintain and secure company laptops and devices, ensuring all operating systems and security software are up to date.

Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for a remote environment, including SSO, MFA, password policies, and data access controls.

Onboarding & Offboarding: Managing the technical side of employee transitions to ensure smooth starts and secure exits.

Documentation: Create simple, clear "how-to" guides and documentation for internal IT processes to support non-technical team members.

Proactive Support: Monitor system health, resolve connectivity or software issues, and suggest improvements to streamline our remote operations.

Requirements

Experience: Proven experience as an IT Administrator or Systems Administrator, specifically supporting small to mid-sized distributed/remote teams.

SaaS Expertise: Hands-on mastery of common SaaS platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, CRM tools) and their security settings.

Security Mindset: Strong understanding of remote security protocols (VPNs, firewalls, endpoint protection) and data privacy.

Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff and document processes effectively.

Detail-Oriented: You treat internal systems with the same care and precision we apply to our client itineraries.

Nice to Have

Experience working with high-touch, luxury, or professional services firms.

Background in designing or improving IT onboarding workflows for remote employees.

Familiarity with automation tools (e.g monday.com, Zendesk) to reduce manual administrative work.
