IT Systems Administrator-Associate

They are seeking an IT Systems Administrator-Associate to assist with the operational support of PBD’s enterprise technology systems, ensuring system availability and integrity while enhancing the customer experience.ResponsibilitiesPerform daily monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of PBD Core systemsVerify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, restores, patches, and automating recurring tasksAnalyze and monitor technology incidents until final resolution. This will require collaboration with key IT partners when necessary to resolveDevelop, modify, and support batch extracts and APIs and write custom programs using various programming languagesSupport IT upgrades, enhancements, new functionality, capacities, performance, cost-effectiveness, and business integrationsUtilize procedures and standards to ensure operational consistency and update documentation as requiredMaintain records on repairs, downtime, and configuration changesAdminister server operating systems including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenanceAssist with disaster recovery and business continuity supportMaintain service level agreements and measurementsSkillsAssociates degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. An additional two (2) years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degreeOne (1) year of experience in supporting computer systems and IT troubleshooting requiredStrong knowledge of object-oriented programmingExperience with both relational and non-relational database management such as SQLFamiliarity with ITIL standards and IT Security compliance standards and practicesAbility to define problems, identify solutions, and follow through to completionAbility to work outside of core business hours which may include nights, weekends, and holidaysExcellent customer service skills, including the ability to be empathetic, compassionate, responsive, resourceful, and conscientiousBenefitsFull range of benefitsGenerous paid time offCompany OverviewAs one of Western New York's first HMOs, Independent Health covers approximately 355,000 people here and across the country with more than 100 plans, services and products.
