IT Support Specialist - REMOTE

REMOTE WORK Yes LOCATION Anywhere in the continental U.S. SALARY $75,000-$80,000/annually Overview The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support to end-users within the organization. This role involves diagnosing and resolving IT issues, managing hardware and software configurations, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and related equipment. The IT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of the organization's IT infrastructure. ESSENTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES End-User Support • Providetimelyand effective technical support to end-users via in-person, phone, email, or remoteassistance. • Resolve hardware and software issues, including operatingsystemand application problems. • Assistend-users with hardware and software installations, updates, and configurations. Hardware Maintenance • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. • Assistwith equipment procurement and asset management, ensuring an up-to-date inventory. • Receive and ship equipment as needed to end-users. Device Management • Enroll user devices to Microsoft Intune, apply company compliance policy, and enforce it. Software Support • Install, configure, and update software applications on end-user devices. • Troubleshoot software-related issues and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve them. Network Support • Assistin the setup and maintenance of the Azure Network of the Organization • Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and ensure network security. Security And Data Protection • Implement and enforce security measures to protect data and systems. • Educate end-users on best practices for data security and password management. Documentation • Maintainaccurateand up-to-date documentation for IT procedures, configurations, and issue resolution. User Training • Provide training and guidance to end-users on how to use IT equipment and software effectively. Collaboration • Collaborate with IT team members to address complex IT issues andassistin IT projects asrequired. • Maintain relationships with colleaguesrootedin safety, connection, and self-regulation. Vendor Management • Interact with external vendors to coordinate hardware and software procurement and resolve issues. Working Conditions • This role may require occasional evening or weekend work to support system maintenance or upgrades. • Other duties assigned bysupervisor. Position Requirements • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science(preferred), orequivalent work experiencewithsuccessful completion fromanIT CertificationProgram. • Proficiencywith operating systems (e.g., Windows,iOS) and common software applications. • Familiarity with network protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft 365 Certified Endpoint Administrator Associate are a plus. • Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings/trainingsif needed. • Adhere to all federal funding source requirements. • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism. • Demonstrate support of Applied Intellect’s values by exhibiting respect for others, maintenance of confidential information and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace. • Must possess a valid driver’s license, insurance, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation (if required). • Successful completion of DHS/ICE’s Preliminary Fitness Screening and Suitability Determination, federal background checks initiated upon employment (if required). • The position is remote and requires an appropriate workspace to complete daily tasks and participate in video conferencing. • Ensure compliance with a drug-free, tobacco-free and alcohol-free workplace. • Support a harassment-free workplace. • Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations. • Must adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations. • Must follow all company andImmigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)policies and procedures. Training Requirements • Satisfactory completion ofApplied Intellect’sOrientation and Training. • Satisfactory completion of DHS/ICE-requiredtrainingsupon hire and on an annual basis;and • Completeadditionaltraining asidentifiedby HR or supervisor. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Use manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity. • Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands. • Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying. • Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard measurements).
