IT Security Analyst

They are seeking an IT Security Analyst to support monitoring, threat detection, and vulnerability management while collaborating closely with IT teams to enhance security operations and maturity. Responsibilities Assist with Active Directory, file server, and access permission audits to support Identity & Access Management Help maintain and monitor XDR agents to ensure they remain healthy and reporting correctly Review and triage foundational security alerts under the guidance of the Security Manager Support periodic vulnerability scans, track remediation progress, and document findings Participate in phishing simulations, user training, and other security awareness activities Help monitor email security and web filtering tools for suspicious activity Collaborate with IT and security teams to enforce MFA, password hygiene, and access controls Assist with Privileged Access Management tasks such as user onboarding and access reviews Run guided threat-hunting queries to identify potential environmental risks Document security incidents, actions taken, and recommendations for improvement Skills 1–3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or networking Basic understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, Windows Server/AD, and endpoint security tools Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills Eagerness to learn and grow through hands-on practice and training Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience Familiarity with SIEM/XDR or vulnerability management platforms is a plus Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Microsoft Security Fundamentals are a plus Benefits Comprehensive Health Coverage: Multiple medical plan options (CDHP and PPO) to get you the coverage you need Robust Financial Security: Company-paid life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, plus options for supplemental critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity plans Generous Time Off: PTO plan with paid holidays, paid parental leave, and paid compassionate care leave to support personal well-being and family needs Wellness & Support Programs: Employee Assistance Program (EAP), wellness incentives, and telehealth access Extras That Matter: Dental and vision plans, FSAs/HSAs with company contributions, pet insurance, legal services, and ID theft protection for peace of mind Company Overview GCG is a global provider of wire, cable, and connectivity products, as well as customized solutions for automated factories, serving diverse sectors including Communications, OEM, Data Centers, Renewable Energy and more.
