IT Product Owner, Warehouse Excellence (Remote)
Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Product Owner position is completely remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories. This role may require up to 20% travel. This role will reside within the Warehouse Excellence Product Team. They must possess supply chain/warehouse domain knowledge: β’ Order Fulfillment (planning, receiving, putaway, letdowns/rotations, selection, loading, returns, claims) β’ Inventory Management (allocation, tracking/traceability, stock rotation, slotting, cycle counting, recall mgt, inventory adjustments, financial treatment) β’ Labor Management (planning, performance, automated tasking) RESPONSIBILITIES β’ Establish and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders to drive Product strategy and prioritization decisions β’ Serve as a liaison between the business and development, acting as the voice of the customer and communicating requirements and needs to the Product team β’ Deliver on-time, on-budget, on-quality, on-fit service(s) or Product(s) β’ Own, maintain, and continuously groom the Team Backlog β’ Facilitate delivery of features by refining and improving processes that lead to more efficient development cycles β’ Work within an Agile framework to develop and execute against a Product roadmap β’ Develop user stories with detailed requirements and acceptance criteria that address end-user needs β’ Participate in recurring Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Demos, etc. β’ Establish and maintain metrics that track value of delivered Features and team output β’ Ensure there is value generated back to the enterprise through diligence in prioritization and delivery β’ Manage upgrades and ensure Product or Product elements are up to date in order to avoid technical debt β’ Maintain an innovating and future-proofing agenda for given Product(s) β’ Maintain primary responsibility for Product team operations, including financial management and β’ resourcing (varies by team) β’ Anticipate, mitigate and chaperone escalations β’ Enhance data analytics capability w/in product team, broaden data analytics tools utilization β’ Other duties as assigned by manager SUPERVISION: β’ While the Product Owner will not have formal people management / reporting responsibilities, they are responsible for leading Product teams in delivering against sprint goals / project plans. RELATIONSHIPS β’ Internal: Business Stakeholders and End Users, IT Leadership, IT Delivery (Scrum Masters, Developers, Architects, UX Designers, Program Managers, etc.) β’ External: Application / Systems Vendors (as applicable) WORK ENVIRONMENT β’ Up to 20% travel MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS β’ 5+ years demonstrated experience in Product Ownership / Product Management, Business Consulting, IT Business Analysis, or another related field β’ Proven ability to prioritize features based on business value, technical feasibility, and user impact. β’ Experience improving team delivery processes, including velocity tracking, retrospectives, and continuous improvement β’ Proficient in SQL, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for data extraction, analysis, and visualization. β’ Familiarity with cloud platform concepts (compute, storage, databases, serverless, scalability, cost optimization, data pipelines) β’ Familiarity with modern integration strategies (e.g. : Event driven architecture, data streaming, API-first Integration, Change Data Capture, Microservices Architecture, Data Mesh, ELT/ETL) and technologies (e.g. Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, Asure event hub, mulesoft, postman) β’ Awareness of AI fundamentals and real-world application (e.g. GenerativeAI/Prompt Engineering, AgenticAI, Computer Vision/OCR, Speech Recognition, NLP, Hallucinations) Education β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS β’ Agile or SAFe certification(s) highly preferred β’ Demonstrated ability to influence change within large, complex organizations β’ Experience using Agile project management tools (e.g. Atlassian) and flowchart tools (e.g. Visio, Lucid Chart) strongly preferred β’ Experience with eCommerce, restaurant, and/or wholesale food distribution industries strongly preferred This role will also receive annual incentive plan bonus.
