Learn more at www.dminc.comAbout the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced IT Modernization Consultant II to support enterprise-level IT transformation initiatives at FEMA. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, innovation, and leadership in driving IT modernization efforts across federal environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in AI/GenAI implementation, cloud fundamentals, and experience managing or sustaining large-scale federal IT systems.Key Responsibilities:Lead and support modernization, sustainment, and transformation of interconnected enterprise IT systems within a federal agency.Apply expertise in IT modernization, acquisitions, and project management to federal IT initiatives.Design and implement continuous improvement strategies for legacy and modern IT systems.Serve as a subject matter expert in AI/GenAI, advising on integration and scaling across agency platforms.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on systems development, operations, and sustainment.Identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance service delivery, security, and system performance.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.At least 1 year of experience implementing AI/GenAI solutions in a federal government environment (DHS preferred).Demonstrated experience leading or supporting enterprise IT modernization or system transformation efforts.Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: software sustainment, IT project management, or IT modernization.Required Certifications:Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certification (AZ-900 or equivalent)One recognized AI-related certification (e.g., Microsoft AI Fundamentals, Google AI, or equivalent)Clearance Requirements: Successful completion of a government security screening and/or a Secret ClearanceAdditional Requirements: Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.Additional Requirements: Successful completion of a Fingerprint background investigation.Min Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. CitizenPhysical Requirements: No Physical requirement needed for this position.Location: Remote, USWorking at DMIDMI is a diverse, prosperous, and rewarding place to work.
