IT Help Desk Technician

Bay City Electric Works is seeking an entry level IT Helpdesk Technician who is looking to grow their career in desktop, application, and cloud support. The role involves providing frontline technical support to internal users, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining systems across multiple environments. Responsibilities Respond to helpdesk tickets and provide technical support to internal users via email, phone, or in-person Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals Configure and manage mobile devices using MDM solutions (Intune preferred) Provide technical support for bolthires 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive Manage user accounts and permissions in bolthires EntraID Support ERP and accounting systems (bolthires Dynamics GP/Great Plains/Priority ERP experience a plus) Ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data through patching, updates, and compliance checks Document all support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees, including account setup and equipment provisioning Contribute to IT knowledge base articles and SOPs for repeatable solutions Skills Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and/or education Entry level to 2+ years' experience in IT support or helpdesk roles Basic knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.) Basic desktop support skills (Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS, etc.) Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Familiarity with bolthires Dynamics GP/Great Plains (bonus) Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as Intune, AirWatch, or MobileIron (a plus) Basic knowledge of Azure-based cloud services Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible schedule Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Company Overview Bay City Electric Works is a Commercial Generators, Portable company.It was founded in 1932, and is headquartered in Poway, California, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
