The IT Engineer I role involves supporting project execution, software and application development, and database engineering while ensuring compliance with security regulations.ResponsibilitiesAid the Government during all phases of project execution, including requirements elicitation, planning, scheduling, estimating, tracking, and reporting of status throughout all development and operational phases of projectsAssist in the coordination, planning, monitoring, controlling, and reporting of individual project tasks and sub-tasks, as well as manage the entire portfolio of applications supportedEngage in project work that includes the development, modification, or creation of new software and/or web and data-based applicationsProactively identify existing software that can be adapted to support EAP programs and goalsProvide database engineering and support services as needed for current, legacy, and new system developmentDesign, code, and test new database-driven applications using Adobe, ColdFusion, Dreamweaver, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Microsoft InfoPath, Photoshop, HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style SheetsProvide maintenance of existing applications by implementing enhancements or resolving software errorsSkillsBachelor's degree in computer science or a related fieldMust have a Secret clearanceWork experience accompanied by a professional certification may be a substitute for formal educationCompany OverviewBering Straits Native Corporation is an investment management company that offers resource development and business opportunities.
