IT Business Analyst - Public Sector

The IT Business Analyst will collaborate with the Technology Consulting team to streamline operations and achieve strategic goals for public sector organizations, focusing on business analysis and project implementation.ResponsibilitiesConducts business analysis for the various business platformPrepares and presents parts of written status reports for clientsCompletes analysis on large data setsDevelops competency in enterprise IT system analysis and developmentDevelops competency in federal and state policy, specifically federal funding requirementsAssists with the implementation of major project phases or tasksParticipates on proposal writing teams, including writing and coordinating submissionsAssists with preparation of other written reports, major deliverables, and other materials for clientsCollects and enters project related dataAssists in the development and maintenance of project budgets and prepare client invoicesOther responsibilities as necessarySkillsMust reside in/around the greater Sacramento areaStrong interpersonal, organizational, research, presentation, time management, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skillsA detail-oriented problem solving approach to business and technical issuesFlexibility and willingness to embrace changeSelf-starter possessing intellectual curiosityEnthusiasm for life-long learning and staying well-informed about current industry issuesA commitment to deliver exceptional client serviceStrong analytical skills, including the ability to review IT systems and analyze policy and legislationAbility to work both in a team situation and autonomouslyProficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Access, PowerPoint, and ExcelBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required1-3 years of relevant work experience in consulting, IT or other relevant fieldIIBA and/or PMI certifications a plusBenefitsMedical and dental care benefits401kPTOParental leaveBereavement leaveCompany OverviewPublic Consulting Group is a consulting company offering management consulting services to public sector organizations and entities.
