Job description: Due to CIO M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) department growth we are opening a position of Cloud Solution Architect who will focus on IT integration work. Each project is unique, so you will be helping design solutions for a variety of problems/tasks. In this role you will impact how efficiently business synergies through technology solutions are realized. We are looking for a proactive candidate with strong analytical & leadership skillset to maintain highest standards of technology portfolio offering. We maintain positive collaborative environment within our team and would support successful candidate for any enablement such as IQVIA M&A processes & such. Successful candidate will be able to work in any location within US (preferably east coast), Canada.

Responsibilities
• Ability to build Architecture diagram for applications and application workflows.
• Leverage Cloud environments and service-oriented architecture principles to define and own Cloud Solution Architecture
• Adhere to IQVIA Information Security Framework & Data Classification Policy during solution design
• Propose and implement recommendations and best practices to optimize the cloud presence, performance, security, and cost
• Responsible for the contributing to a well-informed cloud strategy and its implementation
• Develop and organize cloud platforms and work closely with IT security to monitor the company’s cloud privacy requirements
• Responsible for identifying cloud architecture solutions to effectively meet the strategic needs of the company
• Ensure that any solution exhibits high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, resilience appropriate reusability and reliability
• Maintain technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the technical community
• Participate in Architectural Review Boards, Technical Design Authorities and virtual communities, working hand in hand with other Enterprise Architects and Operations teams.
• Develop the tools & techniques necessary to design automated deployments using a DevOps approach.
• Guide and mentor operational teams, and provide them a technical escalation point.
• In conjunction with infrastructure architect, gather knowledge of ports required for application traffic, have the Ability to translate Applications Architecture into infrastructure components (servers with specific CPU, RAM, etc, storage, network gear, WAN links bandwidth).

Requirements and Key Skills
• Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Math or Engineering).
• Experience in architecting cloud solutions
• 5 years of experience in designing and supporting cloud environments
• Experience or knowledge of IT infrastructure

Requirements (Nice-to-have)
• Experience with cloud spend, financial reporting and cost optimization.
• Experience designing and implementing containerized (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, Azure Service Fabric) solutions.
• Experience of Continuous Delivery pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps / Jenkins.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
• Configuration management systems (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
• Standardization processes (GxP, GDPR, PCI, HIPAA, etc.)
• Knowledge of Cisco Networks, MS Azure, MS Windows, Linux.
