iOS & Samsung App Developer for Pokémon Card Collection

Remote Full-time
Job Opportunity: Mobile App Developer for Pokémon Card Collection

We are looking for a mobile app developer to build a simple MVP (minimum viable product) of a Pokémon card collection app for both iOS and Android. This app is intended for personal use initially but should be built in a clean and scalable way for future expansion.

The app should allow users to create accounts and support shared collections, where multiple users can access and manage the same collection. Core functionality includes adding, editing, and removing cards, tracking quantity, adding notes, and marking cards as raw or graded (PSA). Users should be able to view sets, see owned versus missing cards, and track completion percentage. A simple search function should allow searching by card name, set, or card number.

When browsing cards, the app should display standard/reference images, while cards in the user’s collection should support optional photo uploads (front/back) that override the default image. Basic filtering and sorting should be included (such as by set, owned/missing, and raw/graded).

Basic pricing can be included if easily available via API, but is not required for MVP. Similarly, PSA label or barcode scanning can be included as a simple or optional feature if feasible within budget.

The app should use a backend database with image storage and be structured so that new sets can be added or updated later without requiring developer involvement (for example via CSV import or a simple admin method). Code should be clean, well-structured, and transferable so future development can be continued by another developer.

Budget is flexible but currently targeting a simple MVP build.

Ideal candidates should have experience with mobile app development (Flutter, React Native, or similar), and building data-driven applications. Experience with collection or inventory-style apps is a plus. If you’re interested, please include your recommended tech stack, estimated timeline, and cost for an MVP build.
