The Role: We’re looking for a high-performing individual to join our team and lead all facets of investor engagement and fundraising strategy. This role is ideal for someone with a strong network in the venture ecosystem—ideally a former VC principal or senior associate—who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.What You’ll Do:Investor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for existing investors, fielding inbound requests and maintaining regular, proactive communicationsBoard Support: Own all materials for board meetings, including decks, written updates, and financial snapshots; coordinate logistics and follow-upsReporting: Lead the creation and distribution of monthly investor updates with clear, data-driven narratives about company performance and growthFundraising Strategy: Partner closely with the CEO and CFO to map, source, and build relationships with future Series C investors; track firm-level coverage and drive warm introductionsProcess Leadership: Own the Series C process from end-to-end, including diligence readiness, data room management, investor Q&A, and term sheet trackingStakeholder Engagement: Strategically deepen relationships with potential investors, board members, and strategic partners, ensuring Wander is top of mind for top-tier VCsWhat We’re Looking For:4–8 years of experience in venture capital (principal or senior associate level strongly preferred), investment banking, or strategic finance at a growth-stage startupDeep familiarity with how venture firms operate, how they evaluate companies, and how decisions get madeExceptional written and verbal communication skills—you can craft a compelling narrative from complex dataExperience managing high-stakes investor relationships, preferably across multiple funding roundsHighly organized and detail-oriented with a strong bias for executionA thoughtful networker who can open doors and build relationships without being transactionalBonus Points For:Prior experience leading a Series B or C fundraise from the operator sideFamiliarity with short-term rentals, marketplace businesses, or proptechAn eye for design and comfort polishing decks to boardroom qualityAbout Wander:Wander is reinventing the vacation rental experience through a vertically integrated platform that combines luxury smart homes, seamless booking, and proprietary property management software.
