Investment Analyst

The role involves collaborating with clients and analyzing investment markets while contributing to various investment-related projects.ResponsibilitiesConduct quantitative and qualitative analysis using Mercer proprietary toolsProduce quarterly performance reports for clientsCritically analyze investment markets, managers’ investment styles, and portfolio characteristics, evaluating their impact on quarterly investment performanceCommunicate with investment managers, record keepers, and custodians to gather or clarify client-specific data for reportingPlay an important role in investment manager searches, asset allocation studies, and ad-hoc projects such as plan design benchmarking, retirement preparedness studies, and financial wellness assessmentsSupport consultants in servicing existing clients and prospectsDevelop the knowledge and skills necessary to progress to a consultant roleDemonstrate ease and effectiveness in interactions with clients and colleagues at all levelsRepresent and promote Mercer’s brand both internally and externallySkillsBachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related fields with strong quantitative and analytical courseworkMinimum of 1-2 years of work experience or strong co-op experience in a consulting analyst roleStrong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, and working knowledge of ExcelStrong interpersonal and communication skillsSuperior organizational skills and strong attention to detailProven ability to analyze complex investment data and communicate insights clearlyActively working towards or have obtained the CFA designationAbility to communicate in FrenchDemonstrated teamwork and collaboration skillsBenefitsHealth and welfare benefitsTuition assistanceRetirement programsEmployee assistance programsCompany OverviewMercer Company offers property management, investment, leasing, real estate, tenant, and owner representation services.
