Job Description of Inventory Associate: The management of warehouse operations at FedEx is dependent on the critical role of the Inventory Associate. The movement, storage, and dispatch of goods require loading and unloading shipments, sorting packages, accurate documentation, and storage. The Inventory Associate plays a vital role in ensuring that package flow is uninterrupted, and deliveries are made on-time. Key Responsibilities of Inventory Associate: • The responsibility of transferring packages between delivery vehicles and the ground. • Maintain an organized, clean, and clutter-free work area for efficient workflow. • It's essential to affix tags, tape boxes, and safeguard the contents of a package carefully before sending it out for delivery. • Utilize Pallet Jacks and Hand Trucks for the safe and efficient transportation of merchandise. • Implement inventory checks and maintain precise records of arrivals and departures • Take preventative measures to minimize safety risks by keeping the warehouse clean and tidy. • Facilitate the efficient flow of goods through shipping and receiving channels. Qualifications of Inventory Associate: • Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Strong organizational and time-management skills. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
