Interviewer - Part Time
Interviewers are responsible for:
Traveling frequently to selected locations to recruit study participants
Making in-person and phone contact to locate respondents aged 58-90 to discuss the study, answer questions, and obtain participation
Making in-person and phone contact with selected respondents to avert and convert refusals to participate
Collecting confidential information and administering standardized questionnaires via phone and in-person lasting up to 150 minutes per interview
Independently managing administrative duties, including participating in conference calls and completing online trainings
Transmitting data as scheduled
Administering cognitive assessments (e.g., animal naming test, word recall, and counting backwards)
Administering physical function testing using a dynamometer [hand-held device]
Providing verbal instructions to respondents for self-collection of whole dried blood spots using a small device and assisting when needed. Linked here is an informational video regarding this process: Dried Blood Collection — Tasso, Inc.
Providing verbal instructions to respondents for self-collection of saliva using an Oragene Saliva Kit and assisting when needed
Ensuring proper storage, handling, packaging, and shipping of bio-specimens (TASSO device and Oragene tube) according to project protocols
Managing and storing paper documents
Clearly and concisely documenting all efforts to contact and interview respondents at the end of each workday
Maintaining regular access to a reliable wireless internet connection in your home for project work
Meeting weekly with supervisor via Zoom
Assuming full and legal responsibility for use and care of project-issued equipment
Managing, securing, and safeguarding any participant incentives, issued equipment, or project materials against damage loss, or theft
Assuming responsibility for and carefully tracking all participant incentives
Submitting timely and accurate Time & Expense reports
Attend virtually scheduled meetings with other members of the project team
