We are seeking a highly experienced international tax advisor (CPA or Tax Attorney) to review and optimize the structure of a U.S. LLC owned by a non-resident individual.
This role is focused purely on tax structuring and optimization, not tax filing.
Scope of Work:
- Review current LLC structure and ownership setup
- Advise on optimal entity structure for a non-resident (NRA)
- Evaluate tax exposure and recommend restructuring strategies
- Provide guidance on:
- Effectively Connected Income (ECI)
- Withholding taxes
- Tax treaty considerations
- Entity classification (disregarded entity, partnership, C-corp, etc.)
- Recommend a tax-efficient structure aligned with long-term business goals
- Outline clear implementation steps for restructuring
Requirements:
- Deep expertise in U.S. taxation for non-resident individuals (NRAs)
- Proven experience restructuring foreign-owned U.S. LLCs
- Strong understanding of cross-border tax planning
- Familiarity with international tax treaties
- Ability to provide clear, actionable advice
Nice to Have:
- CPA + Tax Attorney combination or part of a firm
- Experience with SaaS, eCommerce, or online businesses
- Prior Upwork experience or strong client references
