International Tax Client Representative Associate

As an International Tax Client Representative Associate within the Client Tax Operations Utility team, you will serve as the central point of contact for our clients' tax servicing needs. Your role will involve building strong business relationships with key personnel and ensuring that the clients' interests are well-represented and understood across the business. Additionally, you will assist in coordinating with other J.P. Morgan operations teams as needed, particularly in areas such as new market entry/expansion, account/fund restructures, transitions, and legal entity conversions.
Job responsibilities
Β Ensure close collaboration with the Sub Custodian network and the internal Network Management Group
Β Develop a deep understanding of the clientΒs business, structure, and tax strategy to ensure all entitled tax benefits are received to maximize tax efficiency
Β Work closely with local tax authorities to expedite processing of reclaims and other matters on behalf of the client
Β Translate market newsflashes and monitor tax developments across all markets and communicate specific impact / consequences in a concise, factual manner and provide support to the client through the change process
Β Represent J.P. Morgan on relevant Industry Associations and voice client concerns and interests as well as communicate lobbying efforts conducted by J.P. Morgan with clients.
Β Support and guidance on outstanding/expiring tax documentation
Β Supervise tax reclaims and follow-up on aged and problematic items with global tax authorities
Β File pilot tax reclaims (new /emerging market reclaim opportunities) under specific authority from the client
Β Review operational tax processes to identify areas for enhancement
Β Identify tax risks and solution resolution
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Β 3 years of experience and relevant degree
Β Client service and relationship management skills communicating complex issues with internal and external stakeholders
Β Team management experience within a financial services environment where accuracy is of paramount importance and where there are multiple deadlines in a risk awareness environment
Β Enhanced communication skills with successful internal and external communication
Β Risk awareness and operational control experience within financial services
Β Process improvement experience, where you clearly articulate ideas, concepts, and procedural changes to clients
Β High level problem-solving skills, and experience with proven experience within an arena where accuracy is critical within strict deadlines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Β Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualified
Β Investment Operations Certificate (IOC)
Β Industry related benchmark qualification
