About the position BJC HealthCare is seeking a Clinical Applications Intern for a one-year internship from June 2024 to June 2025. This role is designed for 2025/2026 graduates who are interested in gaining experience at the intersection of healthcare and technology, particularly with a focus on EPIC systems. The intern will have the opportunity to float to various areas including healthcare information management, clinical documentation, and radiology. The position requires applicants to reside in the Missouri or Illinois areas as it is a hybrid role, with a schedule of 20 hours a week during the school year and 40 hours a week during the summer. Responsibilities • Navigates project requests using critical thinking skills. • Communicates effectively with staff and project leaders. • Takes initiative to identify additional work not assigned that enhances the effort with logical next steps. • Excels in a team-based environment. • Solves problems using creativity and innovation. Requirements • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program. • Preference given to students who have completed at least their freshman year.
