About the Internship
These internships will provide the student with the opportunity to apply classroom learning in real world applications and engage with clinicians and IT professionals in the advancement of health information and technology strategies. This intern will predominantly support the Engagement Support Team, including the HIMSS Chapter Community by creating and executing on clearly defined deliverables and supporting the Engagement Strategies team.

Essential Functions
Intern will participate and join appropriate and predefined meetings with a focus on the pre-determined and approved tasks at hand focused on membership and chapter deliverables and priorities. Intern will be responsible for:
Ensuring timely and accurate communication with the Engagement Strategy team, including facilitating meetings, developing agendas, capturing minutes, maintaining status reports, and supporting system updates related to chapter leadership cycles and roster changes
Supporting operational execution across chapter deliverables and membership-related initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree (either undergraduate or graduate) in Health Informatics
Must have a 3.2 or higher GPA
Available 8-10 hours per week
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in MS Office applications
A strong interest in the advancement of Healthcare Information Technology.
