They are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join the Financial Reporting & Insights team, responsible for preparing tax returns and compilation engagements while building effective client relationships.ResponsibilitiesPrepare compilation engagements, in addition to corporate tax returns for clients in a variety of businesses and non-profit enterprisesBuilding effective working relationships with client contacts and responding effectively to client requestsPreparation of trust returns and trust working papersPreparation of tax returns (T1s, T2s, T4s, T5s,GST/HST and charity returns)Ensuring that all significant engagement matters are documented and brought to the attention of the Manager/Partner, as well as keeping them informed of the progress of the engagementFollowing up with appropriate government agencies on questions relating to payroll, assessments, GST, business numbers, etcSkillsCurrently working towards your CPA designationYou have a degree and/or diploma in accounting, finance or relevant fieldYou have 1+ years of accounting experience in the public accounting industry or relevant work experienceYou have experience with compilations, and preparing tax returnsYou value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed workYou display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skillsBenefitsFlexible benefits from day oneMarket leading personal time off policyReimbursement for wellness initiatives that fit your lifestyleCompany OverviewBDO is a professional services firm that serves clients of all sizes in virtually all business sectors.
