Interim Facilities & Operations Consultant (Stuttgart-Based Preferred)

Location: Stuttgart, Germany Duration: 2–4 months (with possible extension) Time Commitment: 3–5 days per week Start: ASAP About the Role We are seeking a Stuttgart-based independent consultant to support office setup, vendor coordination, and operational readiness for a new office location. This engagement includes a mix of remote coordination and in-person site visits, vendor meetings, and local support as needed. This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys coordinating vendors, solving real-world problems, and making an office come to life — while also keeping basic office operations and bookkeeping running smoothly. Strong preference for candidates based near Stuttgart (Messe area). Key Responsibilities Office Build-Out & Facilities Coordinate with interior designers, furniture vendors, IT providers, electricians, and building management Manage ordering, delivery, and installation of office furniture and equipment Support layout planning, space setup, and move-in logistics Act as a local point of contact for contractors and service providers Ensure office readiness for staff onboarding Office Operations & Administration Day-to-day office coordination and supplier management Support HR administration (onboarding logistics, documentation, coordination with external payroll/HR providers) Interface with landlord/building management Bookkeeping Support Basic bookkeeping and invoice handling Primary interface with our external German Steuerberater/accountant Coordination with our corporate controller Language Requirements Fluent German (required) Conversational English (required) This role includes regular communication with German service providers and our international leadership team.
