Our client, a growing privately held company, is seeking an Interim Accounting Consultant to support an upcoming audit and general accounting initiatives.
This position is 100% remote and is expected to last approximately 2-3 months, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Coordinate and support external audit activities, serving as a key point of contact
ā¢ Prepare and organize audit support materials, schedules, and requested documentation
ā¢ Track and manage open audit items to ensure timely and accurate completion
ā¢ Assist with account reconciliations, rollforwards, and supporting schedules
ā¢ Support general ledger review and month-end close-related activities
ā¢ Collaborate with internal teams to improve documentation and audit readiness
ā¢ Help identify gaps in processes and recommend improvements where appropriate
ā¢ Extract, organize, and analyze financial data from accounting systems
ā¢ Support additional accounting and finance projects as needed during the engagement
Requirements:
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
ā¢ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including audit or audit support
ā¢ Experience assisting with audit preparation and external auditor coordination
ā¢ Strong understanding of core accounting principles and reconciliation processes
ā¢ Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
Compensation:
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to:
ā¢ The individual's skill sets, experience, and training;
ā¢ Licensure and certifications;
ā¢ Office location and other geographic considerations;
ā¢ Other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco by Highspring notes that the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
