Interim Audit Support

Our client, a growing privately held company, is seeking an Interim Accounting Consultant to support an upcoming audit and general accounting initiatives.
This position is 100% remote and is expected to last approximately 2-3 months, with the possibility of extension.
• *Responsibilities:**
• Coordinate and support external audit activities, serving as a key point of contact
• Prepare and organize audit support materials, schedules, and requested documentation
• Track and manage open audit items to ensure timely and accurate completion
• Assist with account reconciliations, rollforwards, and supporting schedules
• Support general ledger review and month-end close-related activities
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve documentation and audit readiness
• Help identify gaps in processes and recommend improvements where appropriate
• Extract, organize, and analyze financial data from accounting systems
• Support additional accounting and finance projects as needed during the engagement
• *Requirements:**
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including audit or audit support
• Experience assisting with audit preparation and external auditor coordination
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles and reconciliation processes
• Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
• *Compensation:**

• Licensure and certifications;
• Office location and other geographic considerations;
• Other business and organizational needs.
