Interim Audit Preparation Consultant
Our client, a rapid-growth consumer health and nutrition company, is seeking an Interim Audit Preparation Consultant to support external audit readiness and related technical accounting activities.
This role is 100% remote. This engagement has an expected duration of 2-3 months, with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, managing communication, timelines, and audit requests.
ā¢ Lead preparation of audit deliverables, including PBC schedules and supporting documentation.
ā¢ Maintain and track the audit request list to ensure timely, accurate submissions.
ā¢ Prepare and review roll-forwards, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
ā¢ Support technical accounting matters and assist with IFRS-related reporting needs.
ā¢ Assist with purchase price accounting and post-acquisition accounting activities.
ā¢ Partner with internal teams to strengthen audit-ready processes and documentation standards.
ā¢ Identify and implement opportunities to improve audit efficiency and streamline close processes.
ā¢ Extract and prepare financial data from QuickBooks and other relevant systems for audit use.
ā¢ Support ad hoc audit and accounting projects as needed.
Requirements:
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
ā¢ 5-10+ years of accounting experience, including significant audit preparation or audit?heavy roles.
ā¢ Strong experience managing audit workflows and coordinating external audits.
ā¢ Solid understanding of IFRS, roll-forwards, and technical accounting concepts.
ā¢ Hands-on experience with QuickBooks.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to:
ā¢ The individual's skill sets, experience, and training;
ā¢ Licensure and certifications;
ā¢ Office location and other geographic considerations;
ā¢ Other business and organizational needs.
