Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation Associate
A law firm seeks a skilled litigation associate to join its Insurance & Reinsurance practice in Boston, MA. This role offers the chance to work alongside industry leaders in a collaborative and innovative environment, providing representation and counsel to clients on complex litigation matters in the insurance and reinsurance space.
Duties
Represent and advise insurers, reinsurers, and intermediaries in coverage disputes, reinsurance matters, and regulatory investigations.
Handle complex litigation issues, including cases involving environmental liability, construction defects, asbestos, opioids, workers compensation, toxic torts, and other mass tort claims.
Engage in all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery materials, as well as conducting depositions and oral arguments.
Collaborate with team members to develop legal strategies tailored to client needs.
Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and actionable advice on ongoing matters.
Requirements
3-6 years of substantive litigation experience, specifically in insurance and reinsurance-related matters.
Familiarity with complex legal disputes, including coverage claims and regulatory investigations, is strongly preferred.
Outstanding technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, advocacy, and negotiation abilities.
A strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
Admission to the bar in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut, with active and good standing.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to the Massachusetts Bar is required.
