Insurance Placement Assistant

The Insurance Placement Assistant role involves supporting Select Commercial Lines Producers with technical tasks and assisting in the marketing and placement of new business with partner insurance carriers.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Regional Marketing Specialist to review, input, submit, and accurately document New Business Submissions in agency management systemsAssist the Regional Marketing Specialist to quote online via carrier rating tools, or submit to underwriterComplete Workers’ Compensation Experience Modification Analyses in Mod Master or other similar resourceComplete Property Valuation Reports via Marshall and Swift or other similar resourceAssist the Regional Marketing Specialist to complete marketing summary outlining terms, rates, commission, bind order documents, and carrier responses including reason for declinationRequired to perform essential functions; meeting service standards and best practices developed by USISkillsMinimum of 1 year of experience in Commercial Property & Casualty; a comprehensive understanding of all Property & Casualty insurance coverages, placement, underwriting and rating conceptsKnowledge of agency management system, workflow procedures, underwriting, sales and service processesKnowledge of insurance carrier systems for submission and quotingProficient in Word and ExcelStrong written, oral and interpersonal communication skillsMust hold state Property & Casualty insurance license or willing to obtain one within an agreed upon timeframeAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction, strong business acumen, and a high degree of frequencySales driven and solution oriented to help meet production and growth goalsAbility to creatively and proactively problem solve and negotiateSets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate workMaintain a cordial and effective relationship with production team, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts; ability to work in a team environmentEffective interactions/communications with others; cooperating purposefully and providing information, guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of USIKnowledge of Workers' Compensation Experience Modification Analysis Tools and Property Valuation Tools, not necessary but a plusBenefitsMedicalWellnessDental and vision401(k)Flexible spending and health savings accountsShort and long-term disabilityLife insurancePaid time off policyPaid family leave benefitPaid holiday timeCompany OverviewUSI Insurance Services is an insurance brokerage and consulting firm that delivers diversified insurance and financial services.
