In terms of the opportunity, here is the headlines: The Firm • High Level Matters with Maximum Flexibility: Work on some of Civil Litigation’s most High Profile and Complex Matters from anywhere in the country; with a fully remote schedule on offer! • Thrive in a Growing Firm: Join a team adding six attorneys across multiple levels, handling 100+ active cases in NY and NJ, with opportunities to shape complex defenses for insurers like Travelers, Chubb and GEICO. • High Level Diverse Environment: Work in one of America’s most diverse environments that boasts huge minority representation, strong female presence as well as 15+ Super Lawyers amongst them • Huge Bonus Incentive: Earn up to $30K in bonus; $12k in monthly bonuses throughout the year as well as a year-end discretionary bonus with an $18k potential The Role • Litigate Diverse Defense Cases: Manage a robust caseload of negligence, premises liability, and motor vehicle claims, representing major insurers in New York and federal courts, from initial pleadings through trial preparation and verdicts. • Draft Precision Legal Documents: Craft motions for summary judgment, discovery demands, and trial briefs, ensuring airtight defenses for clients like Chubb and Progressive, with a focus on strategic dismissals under NY’s prior written notice laws. • Lead Discovery and Depositions: Spearhead document reviews, interrogatories, and depositions of witnesses and experts, building compelling case narratives for high-stakes disputes, including construction and municipal liability matters. • Negotiate and Mediate: Engage in settlement talks and alternative dispute resolution, securing favorable outcomes for clients in 75% of mediated cases, leveraging the firm’s arbitration expertise across NY and NJ jurisdictions.
