Insurance Credit Analyst / Senior Analyst (NY)
Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC (KBRA) is seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst to join its rapidly expanding Insurance ratings team. The role involves supporting the credit ratings process for insurance companies and associated debt issuances, requiring strong analytical skills and collaboration with team members.ResponsibilitiesAssist with all aspects of the credit ratings process including preparation of quantitative and qualitative analysis as well as active participation in team discussionsAssist with the development of rating and analytical tools to support financial statement analysis and evaluate debt instrumentsParticipate in on-site diligence meetings with management teams to assess their investment expertise, risk management skills, operational processes and overall ability to develop and successfully execute strategiesDevelop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databasesLeverage and seamlessly collaborate with KBRA experts in other sectors such as investment funds, financial institutions, and structured creditAssist in research for internal and external publication purposesSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Math related fields or any subject that requires strong analytical skillsAnalyst level: Zero to two years of experience in insurance, financial institutions, credit risk or fixed income investingSenior Analyst level: Minimum of two plus years of experience as an analyst in insurance, financial institutions, credit risk, or fixed income investingAbility to work as an integral part of a highly collaborative team and across disciplines in a challenging and dynamic environmentAbility to manage time and resources in a fast-growing companyDemonstrated ability to write clearly and conciselyEffective verbal communications skillsAdvanced proficiency in ExcelExtremely high attention to detailFamiliarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivityBenefitsA hybrid work schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in the office)Competitive benefits and paid time offPaid family and disability leave401(k) plan, including employer match (100% vested)Educational and professional development financial assistanceEmployee referral bonus programCompany OverviewKroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) was founded in 2010 to restore trust in credit ratings by introducing higher standards of risk assessment and a commitment to transparency.
