As an Instructional Support Technologist, you will: β€’ Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and staff, and various IT and curriculum departments, providing clear and concise communication and troubleshooting technical issues. β€’ Collaborate with Instructional Support leadership and senior staff to maintain online support ticket services and training avenues, ensuring a seamless online education experience. β€’ Provide level 2 support for student and faculty issues, working directly with end-users to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the LMS, system passwords, and other educational technology solutions. β€’ Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal processes and information databases, ensuring all support processes are documented and easily accessible to team members. β€’ Participate in the implementation of university curriculum and technology change requests, course and program revisions, and quality assurance initiatives. β€’ Assist in the coordination and production of online, virtual, and face-to-face training for faculty and students, promoting best practices and technical implementation in online instructional materials and methods. To succeed in this role, you will need: β€’ 1+ years of experience in education technology or a related field, with a strong understanding of higher education and instructional technology. β€’ 1+ years of full-time work experience in higher education, supporting faculty in online, hybrid, and web-enabled courses utilizing instructional technology. β€’ Experience working with LMS platforms such as Canvas, Blackboard, or D2L, and a strong customer service background adhering to department service level agreements. β€’ An Associate's Degree in education technology, instructional design, information technology, higher education leadership, or a closely related field.
