About the position

The Instructional Aide-Reading and Writing (IA) at Butte-Glenn Community College is a part-time position focused on providing tutoring support to students in reading and writing. The role involves working in the Center for Academic Success (CAS) and assisting in English courses, under the guidance of instructors and administrators. The IA will tutor students one-on-one, refer them to appropriate services, and support instructional tasks in various classroom settings. This position is designed to accommodate the academic schedule, requiring flexibility in work hours and locations across multiple campuses.

Responsibilities
• Provide one-on-one tutoring support to students in reading and writing.

• Assist with instructional support tasks in English courses under the direction of an instructor.

• Act as a liaison between students and English classroom instructors.

• Refer students to other appropriate services within the Center for Academic Success (CAS).

• Work at multiple Butte College campus locations as needed.

Requirements
