Instagram Lead (Contract → Potential Full-Time + Equity)

About Us
Storefront is building the next generation of live shopping for premium and luxury off-price fashion. We're a small founding team with deep supply-side relationships across apparel, footwear, beauty, and accessories — and we're looking for an Instagram operator who can turn that inventory advantage into cultural attention.
The Role
We need someone who lives and breathes Instagram and knows how to make brands go viral. Not "post consistently and hope" — we mean an instinct for what hits, a feel for the algorithm, and a portfolio that proves it.
You'll own our Instagram presence end-to-end: strategy, content calendar, Reels production, copywriting, community management, trend-jacking, and creator collaborations. You'll work directly with the founders and have full creative latitude. The mandate is simple: build the audience that will define our brand at launch.
What You'll Do
• Own the Instagram channel from strategy to execution
• Produce and publish Reels, carousels, and Stories that drive reach and saves
• Develop a distinct content voice that fits premium fashion without feeling stuffy
• Identify and ride trends fast — sometimes within hours
• Build relationships with creators, stylists, and tastemakers in the fashion space
• Track what's working, kill what isn't, and iterate weekly
• Eventually help shape our broader social strategy across TikTok and emerging platforms
Who You Are
• A portfolio of accounts you've grown or content you've made go viral — for brands, not just personal accounts
• References from founders, marketing leads, or creators who'll vouch for your output
• Sharp instincts for fashion, culture, and what makes Gen Z and millennial shoppers stop scrolling
• Comfortable producing content yourself (shooting, editing, writing) — not just directing others
• Fast. We move quickly and need someone who can turn a trend into a post in a few hours
• Opinionated about taste. You should have a point of view on what looks cheap vs. elevated
Bonus Points
• Experience in fashion, beauty, or lifestyle e-commerce
• Familiarity with live shopping (Whatnot, TikTok Shop, ShopShops)
• Existing relationships with fashion creators or micro-influencers
• TikTok chops in addition to Instagram
Compensation
Competitive, DOE. We're flexible on structure — hourly, monthly retainer, or project-based. Strong performance during the contract phase opens the door to a full-time founding team role with meaningful equity.
