Inside Sales Representative - Special Markets

They are seeking a motivated, data-driven Inside Sales Representative to drive sales of compounding products within equine veterinary clinics and special markets, focusing on building relationships and executing strategic sales plans.ResponsibilitiesImplement and execute effective sales strategies to place Wedgewood’s compounding products within clinics, growing sales and customer baseUtilize highly effective selling and account management skills to educate and influence customers to transition to WedgewoodMaintain high activity levels, including 40+ outbound sales calls per dayAchieve and exceed quarterly and annual territory revenue quotasLeverage upselling, cross-selling, and targeted promotions to expand revenue within existing accountsCreate and execute a comprehensive business plan for your Book of Business, identifying the most strategic path to achieve growth across compoundingAnalyze sales data, market trends, and competitive intelligence to identify and prioritize growth opportunitiesManage expenses responsibly while maximizing ROI within the territoryUse CRM (Salesforce preferred) and sales tools to maintain accurate clinic records, track pipeline opportunities, document outreach, and forecast performanceConduct 1–2 weeks of field visits per quarter within assigned territoryVisit Elite customers at minimum once per yearAct as a trusted partner to veterinarians by providing tailored solutions, product expertise, and strategic business supportConduct biannual business reviews with Elite customersRepresent the company at equine and veterinary industry events (minimum one trade show annually)Conduct proactive outbound call campaigns to existing and prospective clientsComplete an average of 250 meaningful customer touches per week (new calls or follow-ups)Provide concierge-level customer service by resolving concerns, answering product questions, and ensuring a seamless customer experienceQuote pricing, communicate terms of sale, and provide delivery timelinesHandle incoming calls and coordinate prescription information as neededExecute and maintain Wedgewood and portfolio strategies to drive consistent messagingLeverage marketing and sales tools to deliver compelling value propositionsDemonstrate thorough knowledge of equine pharmaceutical products and competitor offeringsStay informed on industry trends and evolving market conditions to position products effectivelyCollaborate closely with Equine Customer Care Specialists to align strategies and optimize territory growthPartner cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and leadership to execute initiatives and meet performance goalsAssist in training new employees when necessarySkillsHigh School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred1–2 years of lead generation and sales experience requiredDemonstrated experience in relationship development, opportunity identification, and pipeline managementExperience working in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)Animal health/veterinary industry experience preferredBenefitsA comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and flexible spending accounts.401(k) retirement plan with a generous company contribution to help you save for the futureCompany Paid Life and disability insuranceAccess to voluntary insurance optionsA generous paid time off program that increases every yearTuition reimbursementOpportunity for growth - We believe in promoting from within and do so through our internal job posting program!Company OverviewWedgewood is the nation’s largest and most trusted provider of compounded veterinary medications.
