Responsibilities • Strategic Tax Planning: Develop and implement innovative tax strategies to optimize client financial outcomes. • Advisory Services: Provide expert advice on tax compliance, planning, and risk management. This may include using spreadsheets, calculators, and input into tax forms. You will need to be willing to support in this way. • Client Representation: Strategically represent clients in tax audits, disputes, and litigation. • Research Analysis: Stay current with changes in tax law, provide insightful analysis and updates, and apply the law to client circumstances to build opinion and support for positions taken in accordance with the law. Qualifications • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in tax law, with significant experience in tax strategy and planning. Can navigate and prepare tax returns. • Education: JD degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar; LLM in Taxation is a plus. • Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Curious Mindset: Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to developing tax strategies. • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with legal research tools and tax software. • Passion: An understanding of the nature of small business ownership and a drive to advocate, advise, educate, and support small business owners to achieve their goals in business and life.
