Job Description:
daily duties / responsibilities:
ā¢ Works under limited supervision in the administration, designing, deploy, maintenance, security, monitoring and support of agency's mdt and mecm/sccm infrastructure.
ā¢ Ensure reliable software distribution, patching, reporting, and operating system deployment (osd).
ā¢ Analysis of agency software versioning for business needs, as required, and leads in the implementation of software specifications to meet those needs.
ā¢ Configure applications deployments for endpoint devices to meet techincal requirements.
ā¢ Improve endpoint compliance, security posture, and opertional efficiency based on technical needs.
ā¢ Monitor performance of mecm/sccm infratrucuture, event logs, analyze, and perform routine security practices as needed.
ā¢ Provide operational support, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
ā¢ Updates mdt and mcm/sccm environment with security controls
ā¢ Participates in the entrprise administration, planning, installation, maintenance, security, monitoring and support of the agency's endpoint computers, software deployments, and peripheral devices.
ā¢ Maximize security controls using industry best practices.
ā¢ Supports and adheres to change management processes.
ā¢ Awareness of security compliance changes processes.
ā¢ Identifies risks and communicates risks to the cio and it team.
ā¢ Develops technical documentation following agency policies; cjis security guidance; state security standards.
Additional skills:
ā¢ Understanding of hardware and software inventory
ā¢ Skilled experience in mecm/sccm hierarchy (cas, primary, secondary sites configurations
ā¢ Experienced with boundary groups, site systems, distribution points, and content strategy
ā¢ Ability to communicate directly with the it team, business employees, and vendor partners.
ā¢ Good understanding of high availability environments
ā¢ Good understanding of hardware platforms and ability to troubleshoot, test deploy, and validate global issue resolutions
ā¢ Advanced with dns, dhcp, pxe, and related protocols
ā¢ Good organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
ā¢ Good interpersonal skills
ā¢ Proactive and self-motivated
ā¢ Self-management abilities
ā¢ Ability to comply with it policies, sops, disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response requests.
ā¢ Good understanding of image testing, issue tracking, sign off, and industry standard soe and imaging tools.
Required skills (rank in order of importance):
ā¢ 5+ years experienced in enterprise mecm/sccm and mdt administration
ā¢ 5+ years skilled in windows operating system, software, and image deployments & refreshes
ā¢ Skilled in multiple os image development & implementation
ā¢ 5+ years skilled experience in software update points (sup) and wsus integrations with sql server configurations
ā¢ Experienced with active directory, entra ad, m365 administration, Microsoft intune (co-management) and entra defender for endpoint (mde) management; skilled with discovery methods (ad systems, user, group, entra ad/addc hybrid
Preferred skills (rank in order of importance):
ā¢ Expert with windows infrastructure, logging, and event handling
ā¢ Candidate must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of client settings, deployment strategies, and 3rd party software support
ā¢ Expert of compliance settings, baselines, and client health
ā¢ Expert with powershell, scripting, logon scripts, and logon optimizations
ā¢ Expert with automated deployments of os, drivers, gpos, task sequences, etc...
