About the position The Inbound Transportation Analyst at Sephora is responsible for supporting domestic inbound operations, optimizing transportation processes, analyzing exceptions, and ensuring compliance with HAZMAT regulations. This role involves collaboration with carriers, suppliers, and distribution centers to enhance operational efficiency and performance. Responsibilities • Support domestic inbound operations for Sephora. • Manage and optimize domestic transportation processes. • Analyze exceptions and evaluate carrier performance. • Ensure compliance with HAZMAT regulations. • Provide tactical support to managing carrier and supplier performance through reporting. • Address exceptions and collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and distribution centers. • Prepare and maintain regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs). • Maintain HAZMAT compliance for transportation. • Ensure compliance with safety and government DOT/FAA regulations. • Prepare detailed reports summarizing exception incidents and propose actionable solutions. • Develop strategies to minimize future occurrences of exceptions. • Process carrier freight claims from research and settlement. • Maintain a database for tracking and reporting on damage claims status and outcomes. • Collaborate with carriers to manage on-time performance and inbound security. Requirements • BA/BS degree strongly preferred. • 3-5 years of experience working in Logistics and Forwarding management preferred. • Previous experience with distribution centers and foreign suppliers preferred. • Experience with transportation systems or ability to quickly develop proficiency in such systems. • Knowledge of MS Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. • Excellent customer service and analytical skills. Nice-to-haves • Logistics systems user experience (TMS, WMS, Freight Optimization, Load Planning) preferred.
