In House Part-Time Bookkeeper Remote

Position Overview:

Special Strong is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented in-house bookkeeper to manage the company’s financial transactions and records on a remote basis. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial reporting, maintain organized records, and support compliance with accounting standards. This role is perfect for a professional with bookkeeping experience who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Work Arrangement & Pay:

Fully remote position.

Part-time, 10–15 hours per week.

Flexible working hours to accommodate workload and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Management
• Maintain accurate financial records for all transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Record journal entries and reconcile bank, credit card, and other accounts.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.

Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Process invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements efficiently.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Manage vendor and customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Reconciliations
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other ledgers.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly.

Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and reporting requirements.
• Assist with preparation for audits and tax filings.
• Provide financial data and insights to support leadership decisions.

Process Improvement
• Streamline and optimize bookkeeping processes.
• Implement and manage financial software to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks remotely.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Preferred but not required: Certification such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent.
