Implementation Engineer

You’re responsible for ensuring each new customer reaches their “aha” value moment with Expel. From post-sale through the first 30-60 days of the client experience, ultimately working to set up customers and our account team for on-going success. You’ll be delivering smooth implementation experiences for our clients. You will be successful because you practice clear communication and expectation setting with customers and diligently document all current statuses of ongoing onboardings. Organizational skills are crucial to this role as you will be responsible for upwards of 20 ongoing implementations. You’ll be focused on rinse and repeat enablement conversations, and ensuring customer requests outside of standard onboarding procedures are correctly tasked. What Expel can do for you: Deepen your expertise in the security market and how organizations mitigate risk, implement strategy, and improve their security posture Extend your network of security leaders across a wide variety of industries Provide you a firm foundation based on excellent service delivery on which you can bolster your reputation in the industry Equip you with the time and opportunities to achieve some remarkable experiences for your next role at Expel or beyond Give you hands on experience with industry leading security technologies and analysis methodology Provide opportunities to practice communication at technical, management, and executive audiences What you can do for Expel: Guide new customers through the onboarding process, transitioning from sales to service delivery Ensure customers are following timelines agreed to in sales cycle Driving technical onboarding as well as enablement on how to work with Expel Diligently documenting all customer statuses Ensure customers are hitting key deployment milestones in onboarding experience Become an expert in Workbench, our service offerings, and best practices for configuration Continuously drive towards reducing time to value for customers, helping to move them from the ‘understanding’ phase to the ‘trust’ phase Partner with the CSM team to ensure a smooth handoff from Sales Be able to identify risk areas coming out of deployment What You Should Bring With You Experience implementing SaaS solutions, locally deployed software, or IT/Security Services in an enterprise ecosystem in a customer facing role 2+ years of related professional experience Knowledge of infosec and challenges inherent to specific customer industry verticals Familiarity with the purpose and functionality of detection and response tools both on-prem and cloud (e.g., familiarity with EDR, NDR, SIEMs, CASB etc.) Exceptionally organized to manage multiple simultaneous onboardings Additional Notes The base salary range for this role is between $93,900 USD and $136,200 USD + bonus eligibility and equity. We believe in paying transparently and equitably. Your salary will ultimately be based on factors such as your experience, skills, team equity, and market data. You’ll also be eligible for unlimited PTO (which we model and encourage), work location flexibility, up to 24 weeks of parental leave, and really excellent health benefits.
