As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data pipelines and information systems, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience. You'll work closely with our cross-functional team to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business value. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, build, and maintain our data pipelines and information systems, ensuring high uptime SLAs * Develop adaptable solutions, building ETL pipelines in Big Data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) * Implement Lakehouse engineering, working with key partners to move towards a Lakehouse-driven data stage * Collaborate with Data Product Managers, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to design, execute, and deliver effective data solutions * Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance * Ensure high functional proficiency and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support obligations to our clients (Data Science, Data Engineering groups) * Be a proactive member and advocate of agile/scrum practices to ensure safety and collaboration upgrades for your team * Be an issue solver; when given new challenges, you are expected to research and organize to find solutions * Seek out answers to business questions and look for opportunities to automate processes and streamline costs * Engage with and understand our clients, forming relationships that enable us to understand and focus on both innovative new offerings and steady platform upgrades **Required Education, Experience/Abilities/Training** * Strong algorithmic thinking ability * Solid SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets * Active experience with deployed systems, such as Spark and PySpark to query and handle data * Strong key Scala as well as Python programming skills * Strong hands-on experience with Cloud technologies like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2) * Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Ideally Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) * Strong experience with data integration toolsets (i.e. Apache Beam) and writing and maintaining Data Pipelines with Databricks * Experience in Data Modeling procedures and Data Warehousing standard approaches and practices * Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches * Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work with others and build consensus in a cross-functional team towards an optimal result **Required Education** * Four-year degree in Computer Science, Data Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience **What We Offer** * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunity to work with a leading provider of innovative solutions in the entertainment and media industry * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Professional development and growth opportunities * Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options * Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and passionate Data Engineer looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply today.
