We are seeking a full time Underwriting Assistant, Surety to join the Roanoke Insurance Group division as a hybrid employee in our Schaumburg, IL office reporting to the AVP, Surety Underwriting.
Job Profile
Β Processing of LC and GIA Documents; Contact with Financial Institutions where necessary
Β Input, Scanning, Filing and Processing of all documents received
Β Quarterly rating updates for LCΒs using IDC and S&P information
Β Daily and Monthly Reconciliation of Collateral Records utilizing Excel and proprietary software
Β Processing bond terminations and related system documentation
Β Retrieving, formatting, and distributing monthly Renewal Reports
Β Custom Bond Renewal Underwriting
Β Financial analysis and spreadsheet support
Job Requirements
Β 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance or business related - or -
Β Associates Degree in accounting, finance or general business
Β No initial Underwriting Authority given; subject to change based on training and performance with max level authority no more than $500M.
Β Attention to detail
Β Ability to monitor and meet deadlines
Β Effective oral and written communication
Β Ability to take direction and prioritize
Β Beginning/moderate level Excel
Β Beginning/moderate level Word
