Hybrid Java Developer
Length: 6 month+
This role will allow candidates to come into a fast-paced environment and utilize their Java skills to improve the current environment while helping establish and build new capabilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
ā¢ Works with product teams in an Agile environment to develop application solutions to help achieve business objectives.
ā¢ Creates effort level estimates for project and change requests using functional specification standard currently set by application development team.
ā¢ Develops unit and functional test plans, carry out unit test plans, and aid in the use of functional test plans and the verification of test results.
ā¢ Ensuring the availability of an application or product for end users consistent with Service Level Agreements.
ā¢ Provide support for Restoration of Service. This includes investigation of outage cause, business impact, and quick response for problem remediation.
ā¢ Monitor Applications in Production Environment through manual and automated means.
ā¢ Facilitate deployment of application code enhancements to the production environment.
ā¢ Communicate status of application production changes and outages.
ā¢ Ongoing maintenance, as assigned, of operational documentation for core business systems.
ā¢ Respond to inquiries from users for assistance in diagnosing production system operation, data, and business process support.
ā¢ Make ongoing recommendations for operational improvements of production applications.
ā¢ On-call support off business hours will be required.
ā¢ Additional duties and projects as required.
Technical Components
ā¢ 4+ years of experience using Java development
ā¢ 4+ years of front-end development experience with ReactJS
ā¢ Experience with Microservices (Spring, Spring boot preferred)
ā¢ RESTful Web Services
ā¢ Unix/Linux scripting tools
ā¢ Writes complex queries using MySQL Oracle, SQL Server, or NoSQL.
ā¢ Hands-on with application design, software development and automated testing.
ā¢ Solid hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, XML, XPath, Web Services, REST services
ā¢ Development IDE: JBoss Studio, IntelliJ, Eclipse, Sublime, Bracket.
Qualifications:
ā¢ Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
ā¢ Additional 4+ years in software development
Required Skills : - MUST be local to Indianapolis, IN (within 25 miles) - the manager will not talk to candidates who are willing to relocate or outside the radius - your candidate will be rejected - Java and Spring - Strong communication skills
