In this role, you'll install smart monitoring hardware at quick-service restaurants (QSRs), convenience stores, and similar commercial locations across the U.S. Expect to travel up to 75% of the time each month. You'll also collaborate closely with our Engineering, Product, and Customer teams to troubleshoot field challenges and help evolve our technology offerings.What You’ll DoInstall GlacierGrid hardware on commercial HVAC/R systems at QSRs, convenience stores, and similar locationsTravel to installation sites across the U.S. (approximately 75% travel required monthly)Set up and configure IoT connectivity solutions (e.g., WiFi networks, gateways)Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during or after installsContribute to RD efforts by providing field insights and feedbackVet, train, and support a national network of third-party techniciansCoordinate with internal teams to ensure project execution and customer satisfactionMaintain clear documentation and communication for all field activitiesAbout You5+ years of experience as a full-time HVAC/R technician (commercial experience preferred)Skilled at installing and configuring control systems on HVAC/R equipmentComfortable with IoT and network configuration in the fieldStrong communicator with the ability to train others on standardized processesHighly organized, self-motivated, and responsive under dynamic schedulesCreative problem-solver with a hands-on mindset and curiosity for new technologyWilling and able to travel extensively throughout the U.S. each month (up to 75%)About GlacierGridGlacierGrid is a technology startup that builds IoT-powered temperature monitoring and analytics, which prevent food, product, and energy waste, the major drivers of climate change.
