Job Title: Human Resources Team Lead

Reports To: VP of Human Resources

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Human Resources

Division: Retail

Salary Range: $65K to $75K per year



Summary: The Human Resources Team Lead provides daily oversight and guidance to the HR team, ensuring efficient operations across onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and general HR support functions. This role partners closely with the VP of HR to implement policies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company standards. The Team Lead promotes accountability, supports professional development within the HR department, and fosters a positive, service-focused employee experience.



Duties and Responsibilities include the following.


Provides day-to-day leadership and guidance to the HR team, including the HR Coordinator, Onboarding Specialist, and Benefits Specialist.
Oversees workflow, prioritizes assignments, and ensures deadlines and departmental goals are met.
Communicates team objectives, expectations, and timelines clearly, fostering accountability and collaboration.
Partners with the VP of HR to implement HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
Reviews and monitors onboarding, benefits administration, employee records management, and HRIS data accuracy.
Serves as a resource for managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
Assists in conducting workplace investigations and supports resolution of employee concerns.
Identifies training needs within the HR team and supports professional development and skill enhancement.
Tracks HR metrics and prepares reports for leadership as requested.
Promotes a positive, professional, and service-oriented HR culture.



Supports process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and employee experience.



Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations.
Maintains all requirements of the company�s HR Generalist position
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

A bachelor�s degree and four (4) years of Human Resources experience, or eight (8) years of progressive experience in the HR field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of management or supervisory experience is required.

PHR Certification is preferred.
