Human Resources Coordinator (1-Year Contract)

They are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resources department, contributing to recruitment, onboarding, employee programs, and special initiatives.ResponsibilitiesProviding comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resources department, including the Senior Director of Human Resources, HR Managers, and HR GeneralistsSupporting recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews, scheduling meetings, preparing recruitment materials, and conducting initial telephone screens, as requiredAssisting with the coordination, administration and delivery of the employee onboarding process, ensuring a positive and seamless experience for new hires in our regional officesCoordinating the firm’s Mentoring Program for new Legal Assistants, including scheduling, tracking participation, and providing ongoing administrative supportSupporting the administration of the annual performance evaluation process, including tracking timelines, preparing documentation, and assisting with related communications, as requiredAssisting with the research, development and execution of various HR projects, programs, and initiatives in the support of departmental and firm-wide objectivesAssisting with the maintenance of HR records and systems with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with internal policies and protocols, as neededWorking closely and collaboratively with other members of the Human Resources team to support day-to-day operations and longer-term initiativesPerforming various other administrative duties, as requiredSkillsPost secondary education is required, preferably with a focus on Human Resources or a related fieldPrevious experience in a law firm or other professional services environment is considered an assetExperience with ADP is considered an assetExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracyDemonstrated organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlinesStrong interpersonal and relationship management skills, including the confidence and professionalism to interact effectively with firm members at all levelsProven judgment, discretion, and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information at all timesStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive, service-oriented mindsetAbility to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also being comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, team-based environment within challenging deadlinesBenefitsCompetitive compensation + Extended Health & Dental Care.RRSP Matching Program.Education/tuition allowance.Fitness Reimbursement Program.Diversity and Inclusion Centric Culture.A Culture of Wellness: Cassels recognizes the importance of wellness and provides a comprehensive program that addresses the mental and physical well-being of our employees by providing resources, services, training and support on an ongoing basis.A fully stocked kitchen with healthy snacks, plus coffee, tea, and drinks throughout the year.A business casual dress code (client/day specific).Employee referral bonus.A hybrid work environment.Company OverviewCassels Brock & Blackwell LLP is a Canadian law firm focused on serving the transaction, advocacy, and advisory needs of the country’s most dynamic business sectors.
