HR/Benefits Associate

Scott Credit Union is hiring an HR/Benefits Associate in Edwardsville, IL to support our employees and strengthen our culture of excellence. The role involves performing administrative tasks to support the HR department, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and maintaining employee records.ResponsibilitiesAssists with bi-weekly payroll processing by reviewing payroll data for accuracy and completeness, verifying benefit deductions and employee changes, and supporting resolution of discrepancies prior to payroll submissionCoordinates and processes paperwork related to benefits, retirement plans, COBRA continuation, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and other Total Rewards componentsAssists the Payroll & Benefits Specialist and HR Business Partner II with Total Rewards – related projects, audits, and process improvements as neededResponds to inquiries regarding organizational processes, policies, procedures, and Total Rewards programs, ensuring consistent and accurate informationAssists with planning and execution of special events such as open enrollment, health fairs, organization-wide meetings, and employee communicationsMaintains strict confidentiality of all employee records, compensation data, and Total Rewards informationSkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent and one year of human resources experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceProficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and experience with HRIS systemBenefits11 paid holidays and competitive PTO401(k) with employer matchMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceShort-Term Disability, including maternity leaveTuition reimbursement program“Dress for your day” policyCareer advancement opportunitiesSupportive, team-oriented cultureCompany OverviewScott Credit Union is a full-service financial institution credit union providing financial services.
